(the “Company”) is being investigated by the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission. The Company takes this situation very seriously, and has decided to establish its own Investigation Committee (the “Committee”) made up entirely of neutral and impartial outside experts who are independent from the Company. Going forward, the Committee will investigate the facts related to the situation, identify the causes, and deliberate measures to prevent a recurrence. The Company and the IR Japan Group intend to make every effort to carry out necessary improvements and prevent a reoccurrence based on the Committee’s report. We sincerely apologize to our clients and all other related parties for the significant inconvenience this has caused. 1. Purpose of establishing the Investigation Committee To perform the following from an independent perspective (1) Investigation and clarification of related facts* (2) Verification of the internal control systems related to (1) above (3) If any inappropriate items are identified as a result of the investigation and verification, the proposal and reporting on countermeasures to prevent a reoccurrence *Given that the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission is currently carrying out its investigation, the Committee’s investigation and clarification of related facts will be carried out so as not to interfere with the Commission’s investigation. The subject, scope, and timing of the Committee’s investigation will be announced separately when they are decided. 2.
