The Group will power DaiyaGate Ikebukuro with green energy supplied by Seibu Takeyama Solar Power Station which comprises 31,080 solar panels and generation capacity of about 9.56 million kWh (which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 2,660 households). Under this initiative, the Group aims to achieve virtually zero CO2 emissions from the annual electricity of approximately 2,270 tons used at the headquarters building. The office building will be entirely powered by green energy with accepted environmental value through non-fossil fuel certificates with tracking information* in cooperation with TEPCO Energy Partner, Inc. Owned by Seibu Railway Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokorozawa, Saitama; President: KITAMURA Kimio) and managed by Seibu Properties Inc. (Head Office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo President: UWANO Akihisa), the building has 20 floors above ground and two below ground, and has commercial operations including a café and convenience store on the first two floors and office space on floors four to 18.
