January 7, 2022 Toshiba Corporation FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Notice Concerning Setting Date of Record for Voting Rights for an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders TOKYO—Toshiba Corporation (“Toshiba”) hereby announces that Toshiba decided today the date of record for voting rights for an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held within 3 (three) months from January 31, 2022 (the “EGM”), as follows: 1. Date of record for voting rights and other details concerning the EGM Toshiba decided that, the date of record for voting rights shall be Monday, January 31, 2022 to establish the shareholders who are eligible to exercise voting rights at the EGM. Shareholders entered or recorded in the last shareholder registry as of that date will be eligible to exercise voting rights at the EGM. Date and venue of the EGM, and the agenda of the EGM As stated in Toshiba’s announcement dated November 12, 2021 titled “Notice Regarding Toshiba Group’s Strategic Reorganization,” Toshiba has decided to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in the first quarter of 2022, and seek shareholders’ vote on strategic reorganization to spin-off Toshiba group’s business and separate it into three standalone companies. Therefore, Toshiba determined to set the date of record for voting rights for the EGM. The date, time, venue, agendas and other details of the EGM will be disclosed once Toshiba makes its decision with respect to the convocation of the EGM. ###
